Dr. Janja Lalich,
Founder of the Lalich Center
Janja Lalich, Ph.D., Professor Emerita of Sociology, is an expert on cults and coercion. She is a researcher, author, and educator, specializing in recruitment, indoctrination, and methods of influence and control. Dr. Lalich has studied the social psychology of controversial groups and exploitative and abusive relationships for 35 years. She is the author and coauthor of six books, including the classic, Take Back Your Life and Bounded Choice.
