A presentation that weaves personal experiences and emerging evidence of the impacts of high-control groups (aka cults) on individuals and how they interact with health care professionals. You may have experienced a patient making healthcare choices that are not in their best interests, leaving you wondering if they are being unduly influenced by the group they are a part of. This webinar will describe some of the common dynamics of high-control groups and the effects on decision-making.

Discussion will include exploring:
• The nature of control in high-control groups
• The impact on members and how this control will present in a healthcare setting
• The long tail of this environment on impacted people
• Strategies to support the health care (both physical and mental) of these patients
• The HealthPathways High-control Group Informed Health Care suite.
